A Child Awakens
A child awakens
To a new day
An innocent child
And she wants to play
She wants to go to the shore
And build sand castles so high
And gaze at the clouds
To see another world in the sky
She just wants to relax for a while
In the sun-heated sand
Close her eyes in her happiness
And dream of a make-believe land
She' a child and she's me
Through and through
But if she is hurt,
What shall I do?
